Melissa Welch-Lazoritz was featured on BYU Radio’s Julie Rose Show to discuss the findings of the nationwide homeless youth data collection project, which REACH Lab conducted under a contract with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children & Families. In this episode, we address the issue of local, state and federal efforts to address chronic adult homelessness have made big improvements in how they coordinate and communicate over the last decade, services aimed at homeless young people have not. Some of that stems from lack of information about what drives teenagers to the streets and what they need in order to find housing and stability.

The final report for the homeless youth data collection project was recently published online.
